What to expect from your experience

For a long time…….

I used to get sucked into the “everyone else is doing it this way, so it must be the right way to do it” line of thinking. I booked a lot of sessions becoming over worked and rushing though clients and their galleries and delivering too many digital images, so that I could get on to the next client. To be honest, It wasn’t working for me.

I would see time and time again not only frustration on my side but clients telling me months or years after a session that they never did anything with those pictures and lost them on a hard drive somewhere. It almost broke my heart every time. People want pictures they just are so busy and it takes a lot of work just to get to the session and then its over in their mind.

That’s when I started to realize that I was actually doing my clients a dis-service by not finishing the work. If I was going to be hired by someone, I needed to see it through to the end. It was my job to hand these clients product orders so that they didn’t have to worry about remembering to order some day in the future.

So, I started running Sarah Jackman Photography with more than speed and budget in mind and started really offering a full service boutique style experience to my elite clientele.

The typical session happens like this: We will book your session and date. Next we meet in person to discuss how to make your dream session a reality., go over styling tips and pick a location. When the time comes, we will take gorgeous images of you. About a week later, I will have your gallery ready to view. We will meet in persona again ( the 3rd time) and you will be able to see your images for the first time. At this very time, I will find out which images you want and in what medium ( metal, canvas, prints, cards, albums…) and I will place the order for you then and there. Then depending on what I have ordered for you, I will be delivering some amazing art for the walls of your home soon! All the hard work and remembering is eliminated.

I personally want to be surrounded by things that bring me joy and happiness. I want the walls of my home to scream of family and loved ones. I know that my clients value that as well. This kind of experience is not for everyone. I love that clients that book with me value the same things I do, and they want to have more than just a session and some digital files.
